Dense and Dilute Phase Systems
Pneumatic conveying companies try to differentiate the competition by labeling different systems as being dense or dilute systems. Reduced wear or product degradation are often associated with denser phase conveying.
In reality, a reduction in wear or degradation depends more on the engineering of the entire system. We in the engineering department of United States Systems creatively apply proven engineering principles to our product line, thereby engineering systems to meet the stated objective of our clients.
We define dense and dilute as follows:
- Dense: High material to air ratio.
- Dilute: High line velocity.
